Nerds list their top five favorite Christmas movies of all time. There are a few films that might be considered stretches of the imagination, but Christmas is meant for creativity and individuality, right? This year more than ever, nerds need some extra cheer. No thanks to the pandemic, conventions were called off or hosted online, gorgeous new cosplay creations sat in closets, gaming tournaments were canceled, and most holiday celebrations this year will take place inside homes alone or with either immediate family. NaN Staff Writer Melissa Fudge even started watching Christmas movies two months ago. “Sometimes you just got to make your own joy,” she says.

Speaking of joy, the Hallmark Channel can always be counted on for some romance and happiness. This year they are bringing fans 40 new Christmas movies. If Hallmark does not satisfy that romantic craving, then re-watching beautiful films such as “Love Actually,” “White Christmas,” and “The Sound of Music” will break out the smiles. “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and “Elf” will bring plenty of laughter into the house, and the debate has been settled years ago that “Die Hard” is indeed a Christmas Movie. Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is time to dive into a Christmas movie binge and Nerd Alert News asked for our reader’s input. How does this list compare to yours?
