The plot at the beginning: “Star Trek: Picard” begins about 20 years after Commander Data died saving Jean-Luc Picard in “Star Trek: Nemesis.” This still troubles the former captain of the Enterprise because the first episode begins with a dream in which Picard plays poker with Data. Suddenly we see an attack on Mars and Picard when the Enterprise explodes. The former Captain of the Enterprise is now the owner of the Picard winery and lives on the country estate with his dog “Number 1” and servants, who are Romulans.
The business changes to an apartment of a young woman Dahj and with her and Picard begins the Series.
(Do you want to see the trailer?)
I don’t want to spoil a lot. See how this series is for yourself to answer these many questions.n
“Who is the mysterious Dahj?”
“Who attacked Mars?”
“Who are the bad guys in this series?”
These are questions are answered in the first episode.
“Star Trek: Picard” makes you want more. The Next Generation 2.0 is allowed, but that was actually clear from the start. “Star Trek’ can also be different. Of course we have to wait and see how the other episodes turn out, but Picard is a great way to start a new generation of “Star Trek.”
