Halloween is just days away and COVID has ruined traditional party plans. Online costume parties via Zoom or other platforms are definitely a possibility, however, for ghost hunting enthusiasts, there is still hope for a spooky celebration. Mask up! Stay six feet apart. Keep the hand sanitizer in the pockets and be certain to limit that ghost hunting posse to five or fewer people. Make Halloween weekend safe and fun by embarking on a ghost adventure.
After 15 years of watching the Winchester Brothers get it done on “Supernatural,” 13 years on “Ghost Adventures,” and 15 years on “Ghost Hunters,” TV viewers know the tips and tricks to find those spooky spots. Here are a few ways to prep up before the hunt.
- Research the location.
- Be sure to have permission to be on the premises if it is private property. Cemeteries are, of course, ideal for ghost hunting, but please remember to be respectful.
- Gear up with headlamps and/or flashlights. Anyone in the SPN Family will probably want to bring a flask, beef jerky, and some peanut M&Ms for sustenance.
- Download an EMF detector on a smartphone. Ghost Radar and the SGK1 – Ghost Hunting Kit are free apps that will make a fan feel like a pro. To be even better prepared, read up on what some experts say.
Stay warm. Be safe. Have fun!
