Rebel Wilson fans should get ready to see a lot less of her real soon.

In May, the actress decided to slim down. Wilson skyrocketed to fame in 2012 playing, “Fat Amy” in the hit musical comedy, ‘Pitch Perfect.’  In 2015, Wilson told the Australia’s Daily Life,  “Bigger girls do better in comedy and in 2016 she spoke to The Telegraph stating “I thought, ‘How can I get more laughs? Maybe if I was a bit fatter” and so she put on even more weight.

This year, the actress changed her tune and was now wanting to lose weight. Hey, a girl’s allowed to change her mind. She dubbed it the “year of health” as she told Drew Barrymore, Wilson was keeping her fans updated on her Instagram writing “I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress…but good things are coming your way.”

For those who are wondering what Rebel’s workout regimen is, Us Weekly spoke to her personal trainer, Gunner Peterson, “Lots of strength work with dynamic intervals spliced throughout.” He went on to say, “think sled work, Technogyms’s SkillRun treadmill with sled and parachute protocols, focus mitts, moving kicks to pads, ropework, vertical rope work, and sledgehammers.”

Shedding 40 lbs was not the only thing the 40-year-olds actress has been up to. She landed her first non-comedic movie role, she has a new boyfriend (Jacob Busch) and she wrote a children’s book. Not too shabby during a pandemic.
