Nerd Alert News welcomes Summer along with Paramount+ by spending the rest of June by donating $1 to the Point Foundation for every person that tweets with the hashtag #ParamountPlusPride. This foundation is the nation’s largest LGBTQ scholarship granting organization for over 20 years. They help promising lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential.
Paramount+ also has a nicely curated collection of content to watch that features LGBTQ+ storylines. They are representing a diverse range of stories and characters from the “Star Trek” universe to some series and film favorites such as “Rocketman,” “The Birdcage,” “Younger,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Wanda Sykes: Tongue Untied” “Girl Code,” and definitely “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Speaking of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Paramount+ announced the cast for the next season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars.” It premieres this week on June 24th! In addition to these new episodes to watch, there is an all-new “Rugrats” series that portrays Betty DeVille, mother of Phil and Lil, as openly gay.
With a low-cost sub subscription tier of just $4.99 per month, this service offers something for all ages and interests with a ton of content for this summer that includes movies, sports, news, original series, and more. Just recently they premiered Mark Wahlberg’s new sci-fi thriller “Infinite.”
Nicely done, Paramount+. Viewers have some fresh content to watch.
