Movies don’t all have to be award winners. Some are just super-fun to watch, and “Road Wars: Max Fury” looks to fit that bill. The writer and director, Mark Atkins, envisioned a Mad Max-like post-apocalyptic world with what looks to be filled with plenty of action. Two badass sisters will have to fight for their lives to save their mother. “In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, two sisters leave their stronghold to save their wounded mother. Armed only with a muscle car and limited ammo, they race against time and ruthless raiders to secure life-saving supplies from a distant outpost.”

The Asylum’s films are action-packed and entertaining, and who doesn’t need that in this out-of-control world that we live in right now! The cast includes Vernon Wells who played Wez in the 1981 “Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior,” Lindsay Marie Wilson (Ape vs Mecha Ape, 2025 Armageddon), and Daniel Collins Was just in “Tokyo Vice” and known for “Northern Exposure” and “The Stöned Age.”. The director, Mark Atkins, has recent director’s “Monster Island” and “6-Headed Shark Attack.”

To compliment “Road Wars” how about playing Restoration Games’ Thunder Road: Vendetta? The 2-4 player game is like NASCAR in a wasteland. The players have a crew of armored vehicles with speed and weapons ready to wreak havoc on one another, where you smash, shoot, and reign death from above to be the first across the finish line and live to race another day.

“Road Wars: Max Fury” is out on digital today, May 5th, 2024, and it will be in select theaters next Friday, May 17, 2024.
