Happy World UFO Day!

Did you know that Colorado has the 9th highest number of UFO sightings? It certainly makes sense that we have the official UFO Watchtower. Just outside of Alamosa in the San Luis Valley, there is a make-shift visitor’s center that was created 25 years ago by farmer Judy Messoline as a joke, and it has become a mecca for UFO enthusiasts. The valley is known for unexplained livestock mutilations and sightings. Even the Native Americans have stories about Ant People in the Great Sand Dunes. Colorado certainly has reasons to celebrate World UFO Day, but there are others states that are well-known for sightings.
According to Joerg Nottebaum with McLuck Casino Blog, a new study reveals the best states to spot a UFO, and Colorado ranks ninth with 24.41 sightings per 1 million residents each year. The Rocky Mountain state has had 727 UFO sightings between 2020 and 2024. Wow! Vermont is the best state for a UFO sighting, with 33 sightings per 1 million residents each year. Texas is the state where you’re least likely to spot a UFO, with only 7.01 sightings per 1 million residents. Social casino website McLuck investigated which US states you’re most likely to spot a UFO. They gathered the number of reported UFO sightings from the National UFO Reporting Center between 2020 and 2024 and calculated the number of sightings per 100,000 residents in each state. They also calculated the month and time of day that you’re most likely to spot a UFO.Â
