Fan Expo Denver isn’t just a convention—it’s a full-blown celebration of fandom, friendship, and fun. Nestled in the heart of the Mile High City, this four-day event always gives fans plenty of time to explore everything from artist alley treasures to once-in-a-lifetime celebrity encounters. Whether you came for a single day or went all in for the whole weekend, whether you wore a full-on cosplay or your favorite fandom tee, whether it was your first con or your thirteenth—Fan Expo had something for you.
This year, Fan Expo took place July 3-6, 2025 and the timeframe seems to work well. The con was laid out nicely this year, although some attendees did miss the old food court-style vendor area for easier snacking between panels and shopping sprees. One standout addition was the Friendiverse Lounge—a cozy, creative space designed for chilling out, playing board games, and reconnecting with fellow fans. There was also a Zen Den for a quiet gem amid the hustle and bustle. Panel moderators kept the energy up and the discussions flowing. From big celebrity Q&As to deep dives with indie creators, the panels offered a mix of entertainment, education, and pure geek joy. The vendor hall was a treasure trove, packed with everything from glittering dice and handmade swords to rare collectibles and cosplay essentials. It was also a great opportunity to meet artists and writers in person—many of whom were happy to sign your new finds and share their creative stories.Of course, photo ops and autograph lines were buzzing with fans waiting hours just for a few magical moments with their favorite stars. The excitement was contagious and totally worth the wait for many.
One of the best parts of any con is the community—and Fan Expo Denver delivered in full. From scavenger hunts and potion-making workshops to impromptu dance parties, spontaneous laughter and new friendships popped up in every corner of the con floor. There’s something special about meeting people who love the same things you do, and this event brought those connections to life. Then, just like that, it was the last day. Attendees slowly filed out, arms full of swag, legs a little tired, but hearts completely full. As stories were swapped and final selfies snapped, one thing was clear: Fan Expo Denver once again delivered the magic. And just like every year, as we head home—cosplay slightly askew and voices a little hoarse—we’re already counting down the days until we do it all again.
Celebrity Panel Highlights from Fan Expo Denver

Fan Expo Denver brought the star power and Nerd Alert News was lucky enough to sit in on a few celebrity panels. The actors were entertaining and the audiences soaked up every moment. From nostalgic reunions to behind-the-scenes secrets, here are a few standout moments.
Jason Isaacs:
Absolutely charming on stage, Jason Isaacs stood the entire panel, relaxed and charismatic. He warned the audience about his swearing (which earned cheers), and shared that he finds gratitude in every role rather than longing for a “dream” one. He spoke fondly of the series The OA and expressed his desire to return and finish the story. Fans were delighted to learn that Daniel Radcliffe improvised the heartfelt “Don’t worry, I will be” line at the end of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Superman Extravaganza:
This mega-panel featured Dean Cain, Tyler Hoechlin, George Newbern, Tim Daly, Brandon Routh, and Tom Welling. The actors cracked jokes, shared memories, and agreed that Christopher Reeve will always be their Superman. Brandon Routh spoke thoughtfully about how playing Superman required personal growth—mirroring the character himself. The crowd was thrilled to hear their excitement for James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie.
Smallville Reunion:
Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum brought pure Sunday morning joy. Rosenbaum, Red Bull in hand and sporting a shirt that read “I used to be cool,” had the audience laughing from start to finish. The duo shared stories from set and from life, with Rosenbaum offering a memorable piece of advice: “Don’t compare yourself to anybody. Live your life.”
The Mummy Returns Cast Panel:
Brendan Fraser led a packed panel full of laughter and stories, joined by John Hannah, Patricia Velasquez, and Oded Fehr. They reminisced about filming in the desert for two and a half months, bonding with camels, and sneaking props off set—Fraser proudly kept his butterfly knife. The cast’s playful chemistry kept the audience completely entertained.
Fan Expo Denver once again proved that the magic of these panels isn’t just in the celebrity—it’s in the connection, the stories, and the shared love for the fandoms we all hold dear. Then came the last day of the convention and it was time to go home. People strolled out with their goodies, tired and satisfied, swapping stories on their way out. Year after year, Fan Expo brings fan convention love to Denver. We leave happy and start making our plans for next year!
