After a 15-year hiatus, Hank Hill, Peggy, and the rest of the Arlen crew are officially back. ‘King of the Hill’ Season 14 drops all 10 new episodes at once on Monday, August 4, 2025, on Hulu—and also on Disney+ in the U.S. via the Hulu hub. This isn’t a reboot—it’s a true continuation. The characters have aged. The world’s changed. But somehow, Rainey Street in Arlen still feels like home. Hank and Peggy Hill have been living in Saudi Arabia (yep) while Hank worked a propane gig to fund retirement. Now they’ve returned, reentering a Texas full of craft beer, rideshares, almond milk, and gender-neutral bathrooms. Hank is happy to be home, yet caught between the good old days and the weird new now—where propane doesn’t fix everything, the rules keep changing, and he’s just trying to keep his work boots on solid ground. Peggy is still Peggy—confident, chaotic, and entirely convinced she’s fluent in Spanish (and a few others, too); still the better half in their odd little empire, keeping Hank steady with unshakable (and occasionally delusional) confidence.

Bobby Hill is now in his twenties, working as a chef at a trendy German-Japanese fusion spot in Dallas. That boy ain’t right— but maybe he is! He’s still his awkward, charming self but navigating adulthood with the same quirky charm that made him a fan favorite. Old friends like Connie and Joseph pop up throughout the season, reminding everyone that some connections run deep no matter how much time passes. Boomhauer still talks like he swallowed a lawn mower—fast, mumbled, and nearly impossible to understand—but somehow, it just works. Bill continues his lovable, hapless spiral. Dale’s still dale, pushing his conspiracy theories and stubborn spirit into local politics, bringing all the “oh no” moments fans expect. This season also honors the voices and characters that are deeply missed. Johnny Hardwick, the original voice of Dale Gribble, recorded six episodes before passing in 2023, with Toby Huss stepping in respectfully to finish the role. The absence of Luanne and Lucky—voiced by Brittany Murphy and Tom Petty, respectively—has also been felt deeply. The show chooses not to recast these beloved characters, weaving real-life loss and respect into its story.

So, is it good? Dang it, yeah! Really good. The humor is still dry and grounded, but the tone is a little sharper. The animation is subtly updated, the satire hits a little closer, and the character growth feels earned. Hank Hill—still stubborn, still propane-proud—is now gently evolving in a world that keeps shifting under his lawn-mowing shoes. There’s more heart, a little more ache, but just as much laughter. ‘King of the Hill’ Season 14 manages to do what most revivals don’t: pick up where it left off without pretending the world stayed the same. It’s funny, unique, surprisingly emotional—and it proves that the quiet stories still matter.
Streaming August 4, 2025 on Hulu. It’s time to grab your Alamo beer because, dang it, ‘King of the Hill’ is back!!
