Sci-fi icon Tricia Helfer has built a career as versatile as it is unforgettable. Best known to many as fan-favorite Cylon “Number Six” in Battlestar Galactica, she has since brought her talents to a wide range of roles, including the Charlotte on Lucifer. Beyond the screen, her voice has become just as iconic, breathing life into beloved video game characters like EDI in Mass Effect 2 and 3, Veronica Dare in Halo: ODST, and Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. Hallmark Channel fans also know her for her roles in some of their beloved Christmas movies. Versatile is an understatement for this talented actress.
Born in Alberta, Canada, Helfer’s journey began in the world of high fashion, gracing the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire before finding her filmmaking niche. Today, she continues to surprise and delight fans—most recently by stepping into a prehistoric battlefield in her latest film, Primitive War. Tricia plays Sofia Wagner, a paleontologist who has been isolated and alone in a jungle during the Vietnam War. After joining up with a squad to search for some missing Green Berets, they come across something terrifying. Dinosaurs! Filming in the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia certainly made for some interesting stories. The film is out now in theaters and we think fans are going to love it.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with the talented actress to talk about her latest adventure and the passions that fuel her both on and off screen. Get to know the real Tricia. Off-camera, she is just as passionate, dedicating her time to animal welfare and humanitarian causes. Please enjoy the interview.
Check out the trailer for Primitive War below, and see it in the theaters. Dinosaurs should be seen on the big screen!
