Denver is about to go prehistoric. Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience roars into the Mile High City November 5, bringing with it life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on learning zones, virtual reality adventures, and enough Jurassic wonder to thrill both dino-loving kids and curious adults alike. Located in downtown Denver in the same building as the previous Immersive van Gough and Titanic shows, this limited-time exhibit arrives just days before National STEM Day (Nov. 8), making it the perfect family adventure that blends science, technology, engineering, art, and math in a way that feels like pure play.
Brought to Denver by the creators behind Titanic: An Immersive Voyage , Dinos Alive invites visitors to step into the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods, exploring ancient worlds and coming face-to-face with dozens of remarkably realistic dinosaur species. This prehistoric playground of discovery will feel real and include everything from a towering T. Rex to the fast and terrifying Velociraptors, guests walk through immersive environments filled with:
- Life-sized, moving animatronics
- High-impact visual and audio storytelling
- Hands-on paleontology exploration
- A virtual marine aquarium featuring Jurassic sea creatures
- Dino rides and VR adventures
Kids can dig for fossils, examine replica bones, and even try their hand at field research in the “Budding Experts” zone, which turns curious kiddos into paleontologists-in-training. But Dinos Alive isn’t just for the little ones — it’s designed for families, science fans, educators, and anyone ready to trade the stress of the modern world for the thrill of the prehistoric one. Whether you’re exploring with grandparents, parents, teens, or toddlers, this is one of those rare experiences that bridges ages and interests.
A Jurassic Escape from Everyday Stress! Let’s be honest — the news cycle is chaotic, the holidays are coming, and most of us could use a break. This exhibit offers a chance to step way outside the daily grind — about 65 million years outside it, to be exact. With immersive storytelling and sensory engagement, Dinos Alive provides wonder, movement, curiosity, and connection — the kind of experience that feels like both learning and relief.
The exhibition is curated by John Zaller, an award-winning leader in immersive and educational storytelling. His work focuses on sparking curiosity and inspiring the next generation of museum-goers through interactive, imaginative, and deeply engaging environments.
