The Southeast’s largest celebration of fandom is gearing up for a massive return. MEGACON Orlando will once again take over the Orange County Convention Center from Thursday, March 19 through Sunday, March 22, 2026, bringing with it four packed days of celebrity appearances, immersive programming, and fan-driven experiences that span nearly every corner of pop culture.
Following a record-breaking year that drew more than 180,000 attendees, MEGACON Orlando 2026 is set to raise the bar even higher. From blockbuster movies and hit television series to comics, anime, gaming, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy, the convention continues to cement its reputation as one of North America’s most expansive and immersive fan events.
Star-Studded Guest Lineup Kicks Off 2026
The first wave of celebrity announcements already reads like a fandom hall of fame. Fans will have the opportunity to meet John Cena (actor/wrestler), John Boyega (Star Wars), and Helen Hunt (Twister), along with an epic Lord of the Rings reunion featuring Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd. Anime fanatics will also be delighted to see Katsuji Mori (Mach GoGoGo), Hisao Egawa (Naruto Shippuden), Zach Aguilar (Demon Slayer) and Erika Harlacher (Demon Slayer) in attendance.
Science fiction fans can look forward to appearances by William Shatner, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, and Walter Koenig from the Star Trek universe, while genre favorites like Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian), Josh Holloway (Lost), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Ashley Eckstein (founder of Her Universe) round out the early guest list. Comedy lovers aren’t left out either, with Cedric Yarbrough and Thomas Lennon from Reno 911! also confirmed.

Exclusive Experiences and Once-in-a-Lifetime Moments
Beyond standard photo ops and autograph sessions, MEGACON Orlando 2026 is offering a variety of premium fan experiences. Highlights include “An Evening with the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years,” commemorating a quarter-century of The Lord of the Rings with exclusive panels, merchandise, and special access opportunities.
Fans can also catch John Cena Live, experience On Stage with Orlando Bloom, and dive into all things comic book through exclusive encounters with legendary creators Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Joe Quesada, Greg Capallo, and Scott Snyder each offering unique backstage access, signed collectibles, or interactive sessions tailored for die-hard fans.
Cosplay Takes Center Stage
Cosplay continues to be a major pillar of MEGACON Orlando, and 2026 is no exception. For the second year in a row, the convention will host the Masters of Cosplay Grand Finale, where top competitors from across North America will battle it out for a $10,000 grand prize. MEGACON will also serve as the home of the 2026 Masters of Cosplay Sunshine Qualifier, reinforcing its role as a major destination for elite cosplay competition.
Throughout the weekend, fans can enjoy cosplay-centric panels, themed meetups, the Cosplay Red Carpet, and opportunities to connect with professional cosplayers while celebrating creativity and craftsmanship.
Comics, Gaming, and Beyond
Comic fans won’t want to miss Comics Xplosion, a live art battle where top illustrators face off, creating original artwork in real time. Lucky attendees will even get a chance to take these pieces home! Best of all, this fan-favorite event is included with a standard MEGACON badge.
Gamers can dive into the Gaming Arena, featuring tournaments, tabletop gaming, free-play stations, and Q&A sessions with voice actors from popular video games. Animation enthusiasts and sci-fi fans will find no shortage of panels, workshops, and programming highlighting beloved franchises and the artists behind them.
After-Hours Fun at Universal Orlando
Adding an extra layer of excitement, MEGACON Orlando 2026 will host a special after-hours event at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, March 20. Ticketed attendees will enjoy unlimited access to select attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, turning fandom into a full-scale theme park experience.
