This Colorado original fan-run convention and film festival belongs at the Marriott DTC. Not only has it outgrown the other hotels, this particular venue has a special place in many of the hearts who miss our beloved StarFest Convention. The vibes at this place have certainly changed over the years, but fan memories ring through the hallways. This makes it the ideal place to host COFOH.
The sixth year of our favorite event boasts the theme of Clowns vs. Witches, and we here at Nerd Alert News are counting down to September 18–20, 2026. The guest announcements are already starting to come out including the return of The Terrifier’s own David Howard Thornton. Known as Art the Clown, Thornton will be on hand to meet his fans, sign autographs, and snap selfies. Along with this terrifying clown will be Paranormal investigators Bryan Bonner & Bob Lewis of Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society Horror cosplay personality Colleen Cole, and Reel Horrors Film Fest organizers Jack Hanley, Shay Westcott, Bryan Bonner, & Art Zamarripa. The guest announcements have just begun, so stay tombed!
Colorado’s horror scene will come alive again at COFOH where evil clowns grin, witches whisper, and nightmares collide! It will be a full weekend of connecting with friends, old and new, blood-splattered panels, twisted workshops, frightening film festival, haunted vendors, celebrity Q&As, and interactive scares, plus after-hours costume contest, trivia, tattoo competition, karaoke, midnight ghost stories, and more.
The Reel Horrors Film Festival at COFOH is back for its second year to showcase a terrifyingly thrilling lineup of six 45-minute short film blocks, featuring submissions from Colorado filmmakers, first-timers, international talent, and award-winners from festivals like SXSW, Fantasia Fest, and even the Academy Awards – the majority of which were World, US, or Colorado Premieres! This year, the festival expands to three full days of hair-raising programming.
