It was a monsters and magic night at Denver’s Meow Wolf.
Touch (almost) everything! Sit in the buses and cars. Catch a short film at the Heam theater. The experience is perfect for a date night or a hangout with friends. Convergence Station in Downtown Denver will make a night to remember.
The art experience like no other hosted a special event for a 21+ crowd Mar., 21st and it lived up to the hype. Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station was a playground of immersive art that was meant to be explored with all the senses. Visitors entered four floors of portals and were hit with instant Fifth Element and Blade Runner vibes. At times, the music even sounded like Fifth Element-type music. Everything was sensory and tactile, and EVERYTHING was art. Everywhere one looked…everywhere one stepped, climbed, and crawled was an immersive experience.
This particular Saturday night was a special event called Adulti-Verse Monsters and Magic. Some visitors rocked their cosplay. There were elves, maidens, and one even an ork-like princess walked the exhibit. Bartenders served up specialty cocktails like the “Moonrage” and astronaut-type snacks like freeze-dried taffy. There was a wire-wrapped jewelry-making station courtesy of Crystal Craft, Karaoke, gaming sponsored by the Wizard’s Chest, and DJ Photon Loops got people dancing. There were games to play and portals to peer into. Some were miniature art adventures and some were kaleidoscopes.
The vibes continued on the way out as Dancing Queen played their way into the fabulous gift shop. Visitors talked about planning their next visit. Concerts at their Perplexiplex with Perpetual Groove, Ben Quad, Atlas Radio & Splendid Blend, The Unlikely Candidates, and more. There will be a prom probably far better than your high school dance called Adulti-Verse Adult Prom. Events at Meow Wolf can’t be missed so be sure to stay glued to Meow Wolf’s calendar.
