Another year, another unforgettable weekend at MEGACON Orlando 2026, where fans from across the country packed the Orange County Convention Center for four days of pop culture celebration, celebrity encounters, and nonstop energy. Nerd Alert News was on the ground for it all, and this year’s convention proved bigger, louder, and more immersive than ever.
From the moment doors opened, the show floor was a spectacle. Rows of vendors, artists, and interactive booths created a maze of collectibles, exclusive merch, and one of a kind finds. Independent creators stood shoulder to shoulder with major brands, highlighting the ever-growing blend of grassroots artistry and mainstream fandom that defines MEGACON’s identity.
Cosplay remained one of the weekend’s strongest highlights. Attendees showed up in full force, bringing characters from anime, gaming, comics, and film to life with impressive detail and creativity. Whether it was handcrafted armor, screen-accurate costumes, or original mashups, the convention floor often felt like stepping directly into a multiverse of fandoms.
Celebrity panels drew massive crowds throughout the weekend, with fans lining up early to secure seats for some of the most anticipated appearances. From nostalgic reunions to behind the scenes storytelling, these panels offered rare insight into beloved franchises while giving fans a chance to connect with the people behind them. Sunday, in particular, delivered a strong closing lineup, keeping energy levels high right up to the final hours of the convention.
Beyond the panels, MEGACON continued to expand its interactive experiences.
