Just when you think it might be safe to give up Netflix to save a little cash, season three of Nobody Wants This is coming out October 22nd. The Emmy-nominated series will keep viewers hooked for at least another few months. Fans of Joanne and Noah’s tricky yet adorable relationship will get to enjoy that “first time” feeling all over again. After finally recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) are actually doing it. Yes, they are moving in together and settling into the next stage of a relationship. Now that they’re building this new life together it will be interesting to see how it goes. Is she actually going to convert?
Meanwhile, Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn) are getting shoved back into the dating pool, whether they’re ready for it or not, and will have to deal with all the awkward and occasionally hilarious moments that come with it. And Morgan (Justine Lupe) is leveling up her career inching toward full-on media‑darling status. Plus, Sasha and Morgan keep circling around something neither of them wants to say out loud. This season will also bring in some new faces including Andrew Rannells, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Sarah Silverman.
There’s also a storyline this season about Joanne exploring Judaism as a way to find structure and meaning, which show creator Erin Foster says gives her “purpose, boundaries, values, and traditions.” Noah’s ready to handle whatever happens, although it turns out he doesn’t have to. Foster, who pops up for a cameo this season) says they made sure Joanne and Noah still have that flirty, playful vibe that makes them so fun to watch. It’s basically their secret sauce. Fun fact, the show is actually inspired by Foster’s real-life love story. She teases that “this couple is still fun and flirty with each other. That’s the thing that makes them special and why they like each other so much.”
Clearly it’s not the right time to cancel Netflix with one of the funniest and sweetest shows back on the air. Check out the trailer for season three and mark those calendars for October 22nd.
