Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes a spy for Netflix. Now the cast of actors has also been announced who will take part in the series alongside the muscular star.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as an agent? We last saw that in 1994 in James Cameron’s action firework show “True Lies”. But at the proud age of 74, the Austrian-American Golden Globe winner has a total of six projects in the pipeline – including a Netflix series that will transport him back into the realms of espionage.
Although the project has not yet had a fixed title (the series has since been reported under the titles “Utap” and “FUBAR”), the plot of the Netflix series is already known: Luke (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) discover that they both work as CIA agents and have been able to keep this secret from each other for years. After realizing their relationship was built on an outright lie, they are forced to work together as a team and really get to know each other.
The daughter is played by Monica Barbaro, who you may know from the Netflix series “The Good Cop” and who will hit the big screen in “Top Gun Maverick” on May 26, 2022. In addition, the cast has recently been expanded to include numerous actors.

As Variety reports, nine more actors have now been confirmed for the Netflix production. The full list of confirmed cast members now includes Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro:

Aparna Brielle (“Jayand and Silent Bob Reebot”) as Tina, a NSA analyst
Andy Buckley (“The Office”) as Donnie, the boyfriend of Lukes ex-wife
Milan Carter (“Dolemite Is My Name”) as Barry, a CIA partner from Luke
Fortune Feimster (“The Mindy Project”) as Roo, a smart CIA agent
Barbara Eve Harris (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) as Dot, the CIA director
Gabriel Luna (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) as Boro, a businessman
Fabiana Udenio (“Jane the Virgin”) as Tally, Lukes ex-wife
Travis Van Winkle (“You”) as Aldon, a CIA officer
The series was commissioned in May last year and will initially consist of eight one-hour episodes. Nick Santora, who was recently responsible for the Amazon series “Reacher”, provided the idea for the series and will also act as showrunner. The project is currently in pre-production, so we’ll have to wait a while before announcing a release date.
