“Van Helsing” fans know Jennifer Cheon Garcia from her role as ‘Ivory’ in the hit series, and “Supergirl” fans will get to see her as their next favorite villain. Garcia’s been in season 12 of “Supernatural,” season 2 of “Lucifer,” and played Gina Salvino in “The Drive.” The Vancouver-born actress loved everything creative such as dance, music, and acting since she was young.
Colleen Bement: “Van Helsing” continues to be a super popular series and it is a few episodes into its fourth season. What was it like to come back to work on such a loved TV show?
Jennifer Cheon Garcia: It’s unbelievable! I’m so grateful and excited that I get to keep entertaining you all!
CB: What can fans look forward to with Ivory’s character development this season?
JCG: I think you can look forward to seeing her growth, but still maintaining all the aspects about her that you love.
CB: Do you have any funny stories from the set this year?
JCG: The show takes place in an apocalyptic world. So, we try and lighten things up before we get into it. We love to jam out in the make-up trailer. If you wanna see more, check out my IG- You’ll see what I mean.
CB: Switching gears to another hot TV show, “Supernatural,” you were in the season 12 episode ‘Stuck in the Middle (With You). The show’s in it’s 15th and final season. What can you share about your experience on that set?
JCG: It was pretty epic. The first time I ever stepped on that show I was fresh out of high school, modeling at the time. I took a summer job as an extra and ended up being one on that show. I remember saying to myself how I wanted to be right there in the scene with Jensen and Jared. Then jump to season 12 and I got to be. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Plus, it was nice to be the shorty on set for a change.
CB: Do you have other projects in the works that you’re allowed to share about?
JCG: I had the privilege of getting to be in the season 5 opener for “Supergirl” as the Villain ‘Midnight.’ If you guys haven’t seen it, check it out!
CB: I read that you’re into a lot of outdoor activities in your downtime. What is your favorite season of the year? Summer?
JCG: Ooo that’s a hard one. I love Summer. My Latin blood craves the sun. And I feel more like me when I have a tan. But I do love to snowboard. Nothing like being up in the mountains covered in snow.
