Those of us that grew up in the 80s, 90s, and even the early 2000s know first hand the strong affinity for the TV shows and movies that shaped our childhood and teen years. Most are still well and truly rooted in their respective fandoms, and will be until the end. Who from those decades doesn’t remember a time before streaming services dominated? Rushing home to make sure you caught the new episode of that show you were a die hard fan of was the norm, and many times, the highlight of the day. Now, there’s a chance for everyone in the Orlando area to relive and indulge in the nostalgia of those moments. Decade Days is coming to Florida for the first time at Dezerland Park, Orlando, and it starts TOMORROW!
This convention promises to be the ultimate nostalgic experience for those in attendance. From January 24th – 26th, con-goers will be immersed in an incredible mix of their favorite musicians, actors, and TV personalities from the 80’s, 90’s, and more! The impressive celebrity guest line up includes talent such as Chad Michael Murray, Drake Bell, Josh Holloway, Bam Margera, Drew Seely, Robyn Lively, and many more. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase photo ops and autographs with their favorites and create a memory that will last a lifetime. Celebrity appearances are far from the only reason to run-not walk-to this epic event. Decade Days will also host multiple panels and events that fans can enjoy. Cast reunions for Teen Witch, Degrassi, Lost, Phil of the Future, as well as Disney Channel Original Movies will be in full swing. You also don’t want to miss the “007 Cocktail Party” at 8pm on Saturday night in Dezerland’s 007 Lounge. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be a Hold On Til Dawn benefit concert on Sunday night from 8pm-10:30pm at The Abbey Orlando featuring artists Drew Seely, MKTO, and Johnny. All proceeds from the concert will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. And DO NOT forget about the official Decade Days after party on Friday night from 7pm-2am at 1-UP Orlando hosted by Eric Lopez. This 21+ Y2K Party will feature the bar’s Y2Karoke, throwback hits, photo ops, and themed cocktails! Free admission will be granted with your Decade Days ticket, otherwise there will be a $5 entry fee at the door.
