May 4th is an important day in Nerdom each year. It is celebrated by many nerds with cosplay, movie marathons, and parties. This year since in-person shenanigans can not be had, some fans are hosting online watch parties through their Facebook Group. Below is information given to me by one of the admins of the page and one of the hosts for this weekend’s festivities.
The group will be highlighting the Star Wars films over the course of the next 10 days in celebration of May 4th. We will have watch parties for the episodes 1-3 (prequels).
Phantom Menace at 6:30 Friday, Attack of the Clones Saturday at 6:30 and Revenge of the Sith Sunday at 6:30.
They are also encouraging participants to post Star Wars Trivia questions, share fan videos, art and cosplay pictures. In addition, the group will be encouraging people to participate in the CHAS geek shirt campaign. You can view Ewan McGregor‘s message about it below.
Non Members can view watch parties but to participate in the watch party chats you can join the group. The main focus of the group is to follow Ewan McGregor projects and fan appearances.

Michelle Haab is hosting Episode 1-The Phantom Menace on Friday, May 1st at 6:30 pm. Jenn Torres is hosting episode 2, Attack of the Clones on Saturday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm. Rachel Stark is hosting episode 3, Revenge of the Sith on Sunday, May 3rd at 6:30 pm. All times are Eastern Standard.
