Let’s chat about “Dune.” At the recent Emmy Award show some never-before-seen footage aired of the exciting new film. Did you see it? What do you think of this new version of Frank Herbert’s novel? We here at Nerd Alert News think it looks quite promising! First of all, it looks visually stunning. It’s directed by Denis Villeneuve and the screenplay is by Jon Spaihts. It stars Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. The all-star cast also includes Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Stellan Skarsgard, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and more. Like other Warner Bros films lately, it will be released in theaters as well as on HBO Max.
On a side note, what do you think about being able to watch brand new movies on HBO Max in the first 30 days? Do you like it? Would you rather see it in the theater?
“Sex and the City” fans definitely caught the new glimpse of HBO Max’s new series “And Just Like That…” where we see Carrie surrounded by Charlotte and Miranda. We see Carrie and Big in an embrace in the kitchen. Are things really going that well between then? Fans will have to wait for at least another month to find out.
Along with the looks into “Dune”, there were glimpses of the new “The Matrix Resurrections” where Keanu Reeves returns with his long hair….and….will Neo ever find peace and happiness? Alongside Reeves will be Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris just to name a few. And “Sense8” fans will recognize Brian J. Smith and Max Riemelt.
The spot also features a first look at footage from the upcoming Max Original, “Peacemaker,” the new DC series starring John Cena, from “The Suicide Squad” writer/director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran that will debut in January 2022.
