Paramount Plus’ new movie “Novocaine” is now streaming and Jack Quaid is hilarious. This outrageous, original and wildly entertaining (Mike Manalo, Nerds of Color) action-packed comedy follows Nathan Caine (Quaid) who was born with a rare genetic disorder that prevents him from feeling any pain. When the girl of his dreams (Amber Midthunder) is taken hostage in a bank heist, he turns his inability to feel physical pain into an unexpected strength in the fight to get her back. The non-stop fun is Certified Fresh™ on Rotten Tomatoes and has earned an 85% Popcornmeter audience score. It’s got a bit of a “The Boys” vibe with its bloody violence and language with an “R” rating, so it’s not for the kids. The rest of us, though, will love it!
“Novocaine” has been added to Paramount Plus’ awesome collection of action movies available on one of my favorite streaming networks. It joins hits like “Gladiator,” “Gladiator II,” and other franchises like “Mission: Impossible,” “Star Trek,” and “Top Gun.” It has an incredible library of content.
