The talented and ever entertaining, Mr. Jake Abel, is at it again! All through quarantine, the actor has kept a smile on his fan’s faces when they needed it the most. How, you may ask? With the wonderful accidental Instagram cooking show, “Jake&Bake.” What started with a pizza stone mishap that began the journey of “Jake&Bake,” has now turned into a brand new YouTube series: “Jake&Bake: Everyday Gourmet.”
Yesterday, Mr. Abel made an Instagram post teasing the new series and today he graced his fans with yet another announcement complete with the “Jake & Bake: Everyday Gourmet promise” and an enticing new video.
He’s taught us how to make blueberry ricotta pancakes, French Macarons, and a deconstructed éclair (just to name a few) while raising money for some important charities. He’s shown off his mixology skills with “Jake & Shake” (because let’s face it…who has not needed a drink or two this year?). He encouraged everyone to vote with Misha Collins, and he brought his viewers two wonderful holiday specials that definitely provided some much needed Christmas spirit.
It seems as well that Jake is anticipating this new series just as much as his fans are. When asked about the new chapter for “Jake & Bake,” Mr. Abel told Nerd Alert News, “A lot of the food I plan on making are meals I actually make at home which will be fun to share. Maybe they’ll become someone else’s family favorite, too. I think I’m most excited to help give people confidence in the kitchen. I’ve always tried to make “Jake&Bake” recipes accessible, but with “Everyday Gourmet,” I want to make approachability the focal point. I also want to encourage people to elevate their cooking wherever possible. It’s a gift and an act of love to feed yourself and the people you care about meals that taste as good as they look. Even if you can only afford the bare minimum, we all deserve to eat just as well as anyone else.”
We here at Nerd Alert News cannot wait to see what Jake has in store with this much anticipated new series, but whatever it may be, it is going to be delicious!
