Jared Leto loved stepping into those Gucci loafers.

Lady Gaga and Ridley Scott sparked his interest in playing Paolo. Jared Leto fell in love with the part and called the character incredibly lovable. He had no idea what he looked like. He was actually interested in the spirit of the person. He felt the responsibility to bring the character to life and it was the experience of a lifetime. It was well worth six hours in the make-up chair each day as he truly does enjoy diving deep into those transformative characters.

How did Jared Leto become Paolo Gucci? The actor called the hair and make-up team geniuses as they had to deal with his “COVID hair. The prosthetics team made the magic happen. He walked onto the set and nobody knew what he looked like. Even Al Pacino brushed him as he did not recognize him. He thought it was just an Italian guy that he didn’t know.

Leto grabs the audience’s sympathy as he transports us into his part of the Gucci family. The Oscar nominations will be announced on March 27th and his name will absolutely be listed. Pacino will probably be up for a nom as well, and no doubt Lady Gaga will be nominated for Best Actress. She was stunning from the begining of being a daughter of a transportation company boss to knowing exactly what she wanted from life. The character development was engaging and the audience watched as the story unfolded, albeit a bit slowly, but with purpose. “The House of Gucci” is definitely worth a watch, especially to see Leto’s masterful performance.
