Ghosts & Teenagers!
Netflix is kicking off the new year with ghosts. This brand new British detective thriller comes from the genius of “Attach the Block’s Joe Cornish and it debuts his first television project. It is based on Jonathan Stroud’s children’s book series of the same title, and it follows a trio of gifted teenage ghost hunters who run an amateur startup company Lockwood & Co. In this world plagued by ghosts, giant corporations employ psychic teens to battle the supernatural. One company stands out as it operates without adult supervision. Led by Anthony Lockwood, a rebellious young entrepreneur haunted by his mysterious past, his brilliant but eccentric sidekick George and a newly arrived, supremely gifted girl called Lucy. This brave trio is about to unravel a terrifying mystery that will change the course of history.
The series stars Ruby Stokes (Bridgerton) who plays a psychic named Lucy Carlyle, Cameron Chapman plays Anthony Lockwood, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati (Alex Rider) is George Cubbins. It includes Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans) as Inspector Barnes, Luke Treadaway (Attack the Block) as The Golden Blade, Morven Christie (The Bay) as Penelope Fittes, and Ben Crompton (Game of Thrones) as Julius Winkman.
“Lockwood & Co.” starts its 3-episode run on Netflix, Jan. 27, 2023
