These days, anyone and everyone is trying to become the next big internet star and rarely do you find a unique twist on an already established formula. Recently, We were made aware of a channel on Youtube that centered around true crime with a unique flare all its own. And we do love our true crime genre here at Nerd Alert News. So, we were all in!

Bailey Sarian is a makeup artist and YouTube star. She began her YouTube channel back in 2013 and mostly did makeup tutorials along with giving inside info on the industry. In 2019, she took a leap and dove into the world of the mysterious and the disturbing by combining her love of true crime and makeup.

Before heading to YouTube, she worked at Sephora and as a freelance makeup artist, even assisting on the makeup for Demi Lavato’s music video “Cool For The Summer.” Growing up, Sarian’s mother worked as a 911 dispatcher and would bring her to work sometimes. While there, Bailey would listen in on calls, sparking her interest in true crime.

Each Murder, Mystery, and Makeup Monday features a new creepy mystery or crime story. Sarian gets ready and applies her makeup for that day as she goes into detail about a murderer or an unsolved mystery. Sarian’s calming voice and caring nature creates a feeling in each episode as if she is speaking to you directly over dinner. It isn’t a lecture or lesson, the videos come across as conversational. She really cares about telling the stories of each victim she speaks about and letting people know what happened based on eye-witness accounts and verified documents.

She has covered cases from all centuries. She has spoken about Giulia Tofana from the 17th century, who poisoned 600 men in Italy all the way up to new cases such as Chris Watts, which was her first MM&M video, and famous cases such as Jeffrey Dahmer, which ran for over one hour. Her other videos range from 13 minutes to 51 minutes.

Most of the accounts she details are graphic in nature and quite disturbing, so take caution and discretion when watching. Also, side warning, if you are one who likes conclusions, some of the crimes she speaks about do not have conclusions. So, fair warning.

If you are looking for a more lighthearted video, she also has videos she uploads on Saturday’s where she updates on life, and one recently where she gives thoughts on the current pandemic.
