2023 is behind us and now it’s time to look forward to what’s coming in Winter 2024. A new year brings a lineup of new and returning series across different genres. This means many more anime to enjoy and the possibility of a new favorite series! From fighting against monsters in Solo Leveling, to exploring new islands in One Piece, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Read on for a look at some of the best anime coming this new year!
Haikyuu!! THE MOVIE: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump
Film Synopsis: Both Karasuno and Nekoma have made it to the third round of nationals. They are finally going face-to-face for The Dumpster Battle, the much-awaited face-off.

What To Expect: Haikyuu!! THE MOVIE: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, is the first of two Haikyuu!! FINAL anime films. The films are the last installment of Haikyuu!!. Haikyuu!! THE MOVIE covers the decisive showdown between Karasuno High and Nekoma’s team. It is a direct sequel to the anime’s fourth season, which left off with Hinata and Kenma discussing their upcoming match. We also expected the film to feature Fukurodani and follow Bokuto’s story. Toho Animation returns to produce the two Haikyu!! Final anime films with Production I.G continuing the animation.

Solo Leveling
Series Synopsis: In a world of gifted hunters and monsters, a weak hunter Sung Jinwoo gains extraordinary powers through a mysterious program, leading him to become one of the strongest hunters and conquering even the strongest dungeons.

What To Expect: The highly anticipated anime adaptation is almost here. Solo Leveling is a novel turned webcomic series that was written by Chugong and illustrated by the late Dubu. Solo Leveling follows Sung Jinwoo and his journey to become the strongest hunter in the world.
There’s been lots of anticipation and worry surrounding this series. Despite Crunchyroll having adapted several popular Korean Webtoons, their adaptations have been a hit or miss with fans. There was also worry about the series being changed to adapt the Japanese version of the manhwa, but trailers confirm they’re sticking to the original Korean adaptation.
With over 179 chapters available, fans could see the entire saga adapted if the upcoming anime is a success. Solo Leveling will have 24 episodes with 3 chapters being adapted per episode. Here’s hoping Crunchyroll can pull out a success and live up to fans’ expectations.

Classroom of the Elite S3
Season Synopsis: Ayanokouji and his classmates from Class C face their most challenging test yet: the mixed training camp.

What To Expect: After a slight delay, Season 3 of Classroom of the Elite is finally here. Ayanokoji and Class C are back for their Third Term and must face a special exam known as the ‘mixed training camp’ in which all class years participate. Class C must work with former enemies to pass the exam or face being expelled. Season 3 will run for 13 episodes in total.

One Piece
Arc Synopsis: The Straw Hats begin a brand new adventure on the futuristic land of Egghead Island!

What To Expect: The Strawhats are finished with Wano and will set sail for the futuristic Egg Head island. The Egghead Island arc promises a welcome change for the long-running series. Debuting exciting fresh stories and visuals with the trailer showing off a new art style. This arc is the first part of One Piece’s final saga. A new arc means new characters and cast members. Here’s a look at who will join the One Piece Universe.

Film Synopsis: razbliuto follows Dorothy, the self-proclaimed genius con artist who recruited the infamous Laurent Thierry to a life of crime. This time around, she has been defeated at her own game by the Shanghai Longu Bang and is thought to be dead, but she soon reemerges in a small seaside village. Pursued by the underworld of Taipei, she heads to Kyoto, but what will she find waiting for her there…?!

Premiere: In Select U.S. Theaters on January 9th and 10th
What To Expect: Great Pretender razbliuto, is a standalone sequel to the original 23-episode 2020 series. The film follows Dorothy, the self-proclaimed genius con artist who recruited the infamous Laurent Thierry. The end of part 2 revealed that Dorothy whom Laurent believed dead was alive and living in a small seaside village. The film is premiering in select theaters across the United States.
Hiro Kaburagi returns to direct GREAT PRETENDER razbliuto at WIT STUDIO, with other staff members including Taku Kishimoto on the screenplay, character designs by Hirotaka Kato and Yutada Yamada on music. For anyone wondering about the title’s significance “Razbliuto” is the sentimental/nostalgic feeling you have about someone you once loved but no longer do.

Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga
Season Synopsis: A turbulent new chapter has finally begun. Rin and friends will have to confront the powerful organization known as the Illuminati.

What To Expect: The anime will be focused on adapting volumes 10-15 of the original manga. Blue Exorcist’s return marks the 15th anniversary of the original series that first aired back in 2011. The Illuminati Saga is set to follow the events of Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga due to Season 1 featuring an anime-original ending.

Delusional Monthly Magazine
