Paramount+ debuted a new ad for this year’s Super Bowl LVIII and Patrick Stewart is hilarious.
Football fans will catch the spot during those entertaining commercial breaks, and Trekkies are going to love Stewart’s role. He’s part of an ensemble of some of the network’s most popular talent and characters. In the most star-studded chapter yet, a team of intrepid adventurers find themselves trapped in an icy canyon on Paramount Mountain. That’s when Patrick Stewart steps in to take the reins and attempts a lifesaving hail mary. The Trek icon is joined by a mix of characters from across Paramount+ Originals including Drew Barrymore (The Drew Barrymore Show), Arnold (Hey Arnold!), football’s favorite good luck charm Peppa Pig (Peppa Pig), Dora (DORA), Knuckles (Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba), Jeff Probst (Survivor), Miami Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Then Creed shows up as a delightful bonus.
This year’s spot was created by Droga5 and directed by David Shane. This is Stewart’s return to Paramount+ after appearing in the first A Mountain of Entertainment spot that launched during the Super Bowl three years ago. Viewers will get to see the ad during the Superbowl, but we don’t have to wait. Check out the spot in its entirety here.
Just as a reminder, Paramount+ will be streaming Super Bowl LVIII on February 11.
