I don’t know if anyone watched the tribute to Luke Perry for his character Fred Andrews on the show “Riverdale”. I’d have to say this was one of the better tributes that I’ve seen. It was beautifully done from start to finish. I don’t want to give any spoiler’s in case some haven’t seen the episode. I will say that you can tell that the cast and crew were saying goodbye to Luke, not just his character Fred Andrews.
From watching interviews of the cast talking about the first episode of the season you can just tell how much filming that episode meant to them. Also, that filming it was difficult to get through for the whole cast. Many of the actors had their own special bond with him. The younger cast members looked up to Luke, admired him for the work that he has done. Many of us know Luke from “90210” as Dylan Mckay depending on what generation you were born into, but it made me realize that the younger generation only knows Luke from “Riverdale” as Fred Andrews.
I didn’t know Luke personally, but I did get to meet Luke at a “Riverdale” Convention last year. I believe It may have been one of Luke’s first conventions. He did a Q&A and talked about how new it all was to him since when 90210 was around. There weren’t fan conventions easily accessed, you could just tell that he was happy to be there and experience this whole new world. My friend and I got a photo with him. I have met many actors before, I was caught off guard but in a good way since this was my first time meeting him. I remember he asked everyone’s names and he was so kind. It is a memory I will never forget I definitely wish I would have said something to him instead of just hi.
From watching interviews everyone that has worked with him said how kind and generous he was, and I can for sure say after meeting him this is true. I feel so blessed to have met him.

If anyone is a fan of Luke Perry, I would encourage watching the tribute episode from “Riverdale” Season 4 Episode 1. It will show you once more just how kind Luke was, not only as a character actor but as a person.
