Seriously sweet photos from ‘Supernatural’ Con Denver
By Colleen Bement, Aug. 22nd, 2018
The Denver “Supernatural” Convention is in the books and in our memories. Thankfully fans have some seriously sweet photos to carry on until next time (wishful thinking). This past weekend Aug. 17-19, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Aurora Denver hosted the three-day event that showcased some of the biggest stars of the CW hit show including Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins. Master of Ceremonies Richard Speight Jr. kept the weekend going with other guests including Alexander Calvert, Rachel Miner, David Haydn-Jones, Matt Cohen, Alaina Huffman, and Mark Pellegrino.
Jared and Jensen’s Q&A was incredible. No doubt attendees are still laughing and smiling as they remember that hour.
“Friday People”, as they are called at “Supernatural” conventions, were the lucky ones to soak up an hour of Castiel himself, Misha Collins. Fans helped celebrate his birthday.
The women of “Supernatural” panel included Rachel Miner, Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Ruth Connell, and surprise guest Alaina Huffman. It was hands down one of the most memorable panels fans had ever been a part of. These talented and inciteful ladies served up sincere stories and encouragement that left not a dry eye in the house.
The audience enjoyed every minute of stories shared by Richard Speight Jr., Alexander Calvert, David Haydn-Jones, Matt Cohen, and Lucifer himself, Mark Pellegrino.
No other convention has a “house band” as kickass as Louden Swain. The Rob Benedict led group was on stage the entire weekend and brought their best during the Saturday Night Special concert. Benedict’s strong voice and guest singers such as Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Ruth Connell, Richard Speight Jr., Matt Cohen, and Jason Manns, delivered a night to remember.
Cosplay got creative during the three-day convention. Sam, Dean, Cass, Jody Mills, Lucifer, Abaddon, Sparkles, and even Baby cruised the hallways complete with headlights and taillights.
There were Castiel’s a plenty. These angel enthusiasts even had a special category in the costume contest.
Dear Creation Entertainment, Denver is worth it. Come back soon!
