Spokane got scarily sinister this past weekend as the 3rd Annual Halloween X-Spo descended on the Convention Center on October 18–19, 2025. Lilac City Entertainment turned the venue into a haunted haven and packed the weekend full of legendary screen actors, talented artists, panels, contests & exhibits. Cosplayers, families, and fans of all ages came from across the Pacific Northwest to create a horror-ific playground bursting with terrifying scares and chills, cosmic creativity, and pure, fun Halloween energy.
The convention drew an impressive lineup of special guests from the world of horror and entertainment. Fans had the chance to meet John Kassir, the voice of the iconic Crypt Keeper from ‘Tales from the Crypt,’ and Jonathan Breck, who brought The Creeper from the ‘Jeepers Creepers’ series to life. Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago from ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ offered panels and signings, while horror legends Eugene Clark, Eileen Dietz, Lou Wagner, and Kerry Remsen delighted fans with stories from their careers. Alongside the celebrity guests, artists like Chad Scheres, Dave Warren, Hanna Walther, Ara Gotham, Derek Landers, and Lora Senf showcased their creations in the Artist Alley, giving attendees a chance to meet the makers behind unique horror-themed art and merchandise.
Throughout the weekend, attendees enjoyed panels on horror filmmaking, makeup tutorials, and Halloween traditions, while cosplay contests highlighted the creativity and craftsmanship of both adult and youth participants. The convention floor featured over 200 booths, including the iconic 501st Legion Havoc Squad, whose authentic ‘Star Wars’ costumes thrilled fans of all ages. Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, a sponsor of this event, also participated, offering Halloween-themed items and promoting local community initiatives.
The atmosphere was electric with just the right amount of spooky, blending scares with community spirit. For many, X-Spo isn’t just a convention—it’s a celebration of fandom, creativity, and the thrill of Halloween. With this year’s success, Spokane’s reputation as a hub for horror enthusiasts continues to grow, and fans are already eagerly awaiting what next year’s 4th annual event will bring.
