Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester)
“Supernatural” has given myself and its fans more than we could have ever hoped for! The show has given life, saved lives, and bonded lives, both for those involved in production and the millions of amazing supporters worldwide! The final season 15 is upon us, but the SUPERNATURAL family is still going and growing strong! Shows end, but we have all been given something eternal here!
Ruth Connell (Rowena MacLeod)
There have been so many magic moments onset in the last five years its almost impossible to pick one out. It’s honestly the moments the cast and crew have laughed together which I will treasure the most whether it’s in the lunch queue, during a scene rehearsal or with Jared, Jensen, Misha, and Alex being naughty on camera (which you get to see a bit of in the gag reels).
The first magic moment I remember like this was very early on, in my first speaking episode. During camera rehearsal I said; “killing demons makes me hungry!” as loud and proud as I had in me with the newbie nerves I also had going on. It felt brave, perhaps foolish to muster the thickest Scottish accent I could in delivering the line. When the mostly Canadian crew laughed supportively, I felt that my role might have a chance of working and that everything might be alright in the world…The crew has been amazing throughout and the show belongs to them as much as anyone. #SPNFamily
Chad Lindberg (Ash)
One of my more memorable moments on set was when Sam and Dean came to visit Ash for help in Season 2. Dr. Badass was in his lair when the two boys came knocking and opens the door buck naked. I had to wear a small skin color thong that day. Just before action, I would whip off my robe only to be mostly nude. We had to do quite a few takes because Jared and Jenson couldn’t stop laughing at a mostly naked Ash in front of them. We eventually were able to get out our lines. That’s what I remember most about my time on the show…is laughs.
Jake Abel (Adam)
My most memorable moment was with the boys on the last day of shooting the Swan Song episode. The sun was setting, Jared’s dogs were running out in the field as the three of us sat on top of Jensen’s trailer sipping beers. My nipple was still hurting from Misha’s many failed attempts at breaking a molotov cocktail against my chest.
Tricia Helfer (Molly McNamara)
Gosh, the episode I filmed ‘Roadkill’ for Supernatural was ages ago…I think it was in the second season. A couple things I remember is that I was freezing cold. We filmed early January and it was either freezing rain or snowing, and we were working mostly nights. My character featured heavily in the episode and I remember Jared and Jensen being happy that they had a lighter schedule that episode and could get a bit of much needed rest. I also remember the guys, and the entire crew, being so welcoming and lovely to work with. And it’s been a treat to hear over the years from fans about how much they loved that episode. I hear it all the time and it makes me smile. Congrats Supernatural team on an amazing run, and I’m happy I got to be a tiny part of it.
Steven Williams (Rufus)
Outstanding moments working on “Supernatural” was meeting Kim Rhodes who introduced me to her manager Richard Kerner who has made my professional life a lot easier.
Another moment is when Bobby stabbed me (Rufus) and they haven’t brought me back. He said, almost in tears “you know Rufus is not dead his pacemaker deflected the knife so he’s suspended in a state somewhere.” They need to bring him back find out where he’s been.
Aleks Paunovic (Gunner Lawless)
I’ve been fortunate to be on “Supernatural” three different times as three different characters. One of the moments I’ll never forget was my first job in Vancouver, and I was feeling like that kid on his first day of school. Jared and Jensen were the best hosts a person coming into a new show could ask for. Their respect, their excited that you joined the cast and the love for what they do and who they do it with was beautifully mind-blowing. Their energy and attitude spilled into every part of the production and it was such an incredible thing to witness. They set the bar that I, to this day, try to achieve on my show, “Van Helsing,” and in other aspects of my work. They are always at the forefront of my mind when it comes to how things should be done and how life should be loved.
Emmanuelle Vaugier (Madison)
So, during the shooting of my episode of “Supernatural,” Heart, Jared and I had a love scene. He had never done one before, and I was told he was a bit nervous about it. So, the wardrobe department and I thought it would be fun to play a little joke on him. On the morning of the day, we were shooting that scene, the only wardrobe in his room was a sock, some double-sided tape, and a robe. Obviously, he ended up wearing more than that… but we all had a good giggle over our antics!
Maddie Phillips (Harper Sayles)
Sharing a birthday with our director Richard Speight and having the whole set sing happy birthday to us. And getting to act opposite one of my best friends Sam Muik.
Keegan Connor Tracy (Sera Siege)
Well, it was a heck of a long time ago but I guess…hmm. I had just had a baby when I was shooting the episode where I played Sera the publisher and honestly, even though I was actually fully clothed I found it kind of mortifying to be taking down my (imaginary) pants in front of the boys in my postpartum condition. But heck, a girl’s gotta work, even if she did just have a baby! It certainly did make me laugh though – one of those days on set where you’re like ‘What did I just get paid to do?!?!
Gillian Barber (Doctor Hess)
“Supernatural” was a lovely bookend for me. I was in the 1st season, episode 12, and then again in Season 12, (Kismet!) so I feel like I’ve matured along with the series.
The day I got to throw one of the stuntmen off a balcony onto a wooden table which broke into pieces under him was thrilling. I have a black belt in Taekwondo and have always wanted to use that skill on film.
I feel that the heart of the series are it’s two leads. These polite, inclusive and openly friendly actors make everyone feel at home on set. Jared and Jensen treat each guest with their welcoming smiles and foster a sense of equality on the set that happens nowhere else. It’s a wonderful set to be on.
Bruce Harwood (Professor William Hill)
I’ve only died a couple of times on screen, but my favorite death was being strangled by Abraham Lincoln’s angry ghost.
