Even two feet of snow will not stop the LARP of Dystopia Rising
Boardgamers and Live Action Role Players (LARP) recently attended the very popular Colorado convention HexaCon. NaN had the chance to chat with members of Dystopia Rising. The dedicated and enthusiastic group of LARPers throw themselves into a monthly apocalypse March through November. Want to know more?
Post-apocalyptic zombie LARP, lightest of touch combat system: Hard enough so they can feel it but light enough so that nobody gets hurt they end up playing once a month March through November in Woodland Park Colorado fully immersive game they start Friday night at 10 PM and go to Sunday morning at noon. They stay in character almost the entire time.
They have crafting, where do the Gathering system wear players go out in the woods where they can find items to craft things there are a lot of players who spend a lot of time farming of herbs for meals. They managed 70 to 80 players. These guys are so dedicated that two feet of snow did not stop their weekend LARP!
