In the mood for a puzzle?
Christopher Nolan challenges audiences with a puzzle of time and physics with his latest film “Tenet.” In theaters today, Sept. 3, 2020, Nolan’s work shows off his creativity and brilliance that forces viewers to expand their minds to figure out yet another one of Nolan’s mazes. Fans of his movie “Inception” will definitely enjoy deciphering his palindrome of a film. How many viewings of “Inception” did it take to grasp the concept? No doubt ticket sales will benefit from repeat customers returning to further analyze the film.
John David Washington commands the film with his James Bond-like character. Well-known from his role in the “Black KkKlansman,” Washington nails the role as “The Protagonist” as the character calls himself. A former football running back he smashes the stunts with ease while looking sharp in the suits. Robert Pattinson fans will be charmed by his performance. He is witty, funny, smart, and well-dressed! Mix in incredible actors Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki and the movie is bursting with talent. There is a little bonus for Nolan’s fans when they see “Inception” alum Michael Caine and Himesh Patel.
“Tenet” is a visually stunning film from the first 30 seconds in right to the finish. Put aside two and a half hours to exercise that mind, and be sure to watch it on the big screen to support our local theaters.
