I think it would be safe to say that “Altered Carbon” is one of the best shows in the cyberpunk genre. Based on the Takeshi Novac series by Richard K. Morgan, it is set in a grim future where death no longer exists, as bodies (sleeves) are transferrable and a person’s conscience is computerized.
Season 2 begins 30 years after the events of season one and Takeshi has taken on a new sleeve, played by Anthony Mackie, (Falcon, from the Marvel movie series) as he returns to his home planet of Harlan’s World hoping to find his lost love Quellcrist Falconer (Renee Elise Goldsberry). Takeshi’s faithful digital companion Poe (Chris Conner), joins him he sets out to solve a series of murders while continuing his hunt for Quell.
