In Hwang Dong-hyuk’s wildest dreams, I’m sure he never thought “Squid Game” would become such a phenomenon. The K-drama series that earned 6 Emmy Awards, a second season, and a reality show, now has a game: “Squid Game: Unleashed.” Recently unveiled at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany, the Netflix game promises to give its fans an exciting adventure to play while waiting for the season 2 release of the original series. This 32-player party royale showdown features challenges that players will recognize from the hit series (and some new ones). Team up with friends, face off against enemies and race through deadly obstacles to prove your skills and claim ultimate glory. Battle the competition and unlock rewards through daily missions and themed events that are inspired by the “Squid Game” universe.

Check out the trailer of “Squid Game: Unleashed.” It looks fun! The colors and definitely that terrifying Red Light, Green Light doll are already scary! For those who want more, Netflix has a growing collection of games that are free to play for those who have Netflix memberships. There are no ads to deal with.

Want more? Season 2 of “Squid Game” will debut on December 26, 2024, with the third and final season coming in 2025. In addition, fans can check out the reality show version called Squid Game: The Challenge, which is currently in production for Season 2.
