‘Halo’ Season Two Begins Production
Joseph Morgan (“Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals”) and Cristina Rodlo (“No One Gets Out of Here Alive,” “The Homeless World Cup”) are joining the cast of “Halo” according to Paramount Plus’ announcement last week. They will be regulars on the show, and, cast members Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Laera) and Tylan Bailey (Kessler) will be back for the second season. Lucky cast and crew members get to work in Iceland, and some will work in Budapest!
Morgan will play the role of James Ackerson who is described as a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence. Rodlo’s character will be Talia Perez, a corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corp communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.
Pablo Schreiber took Instagram last week to show off the results of intensive training as he returns to his staring role as Master Chief, Spartan-117. Also returning will be Natascha McElhone (“Californication”) as Dr. Halsey. Both McElhone and Schriber are producers of this sophomore season. Also coming back will be Laera (O’Shaughnessy) as Soren’s confidant, wife and partner in crime. Soren and Laera’s son, Kessler (Bailey), has had a relatively peaceful, if unusual, childhood growing up on the Rubble.
Are you caught up on the first season of “Halo?” What are your thoughts? According to Screenrant, “Halo” has had mixed reviews so far with complaints that it deviates from the original source material and shows stereotypical sci-fi storylines. Yet the series has plenty of loyal fans and hopefully, season two will grow its audience.
In case you haven’t seen it, the series takes place in the universe that first debuted in 2001 with the launch of Xbox®’s first “Halo” game. Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, HALO the series weaves deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.
