Twilight is unapologetically, dramatically, and eye-rollingly romantic!

Why, you might ask? Because sometimes you don’t need an Emmy winning TV or film series to satisfy. Sometimes you need a broody vampire, an innocent 17-year-old, and a killer soundtrack to lose yourself in a binge. Sure, the movies are cheesy as hell, but the romance is undeniable. Twilight is unapologetically, dramatically, and eye-rollingly romantic. The longing looks. The “will they/won’t they” tension. The intensity that only feels logical when you’re 17 or 50 revisiting it with a glass of wine and zero shame! It’s messy and over-the-top, but so can be the pressures of life. We all need an escape from what’s going on in the real world.
Then there’s the soundtrack. Indie rock and brooding ballads mixed in with gorgeous film scores by Carter Burwell, Alexandre Desplat, and Howard Shore. Even now, hearing certain songs instantly transports us back to rainy Forks vibes and dramatic slow-motion baseball.

And finally, let’s talk logistics. It’s been since 2012. Those DVDs are gathering dust and bringing no joy. And you don’t even have to dig them out. The entire saga is readily available on HBO, Hulu, and Prime—making this rewatch easier than ever. No excuses. No shame. Just five movies, a blanket, and the comforting chaos of sparkling-hot vampires and muscle-packed werewolves. So yes, it’s time. Team Edward, Team Jacob, or Team “I’m Just Here for the Vibes”—all are welcome. Re-watching The Twilight Saga isn’t about pretending it’s perfect. It’s about embracing exactly what it is.
