It is hard to imagine that it’s been 12 years since Britney Spears’ breakdown. Following that, Spears’ father Jamie, was named the permanent conservator to look out for the pop star’s financial well-being. Over the years, Britney’s relationship with her father became strained and has been quite vocal about not wanting her father to be involved with her conservatorship any longer.
Recently, Spears’s little sister, Jamie Lynn has been named Trustee of her big sister’s estate and has asked the court to move all assets of SJB Revocable Trust to Fidelity Brokerage Services, naming her as custodian. If approved, it would require a judge’s approval to remove them. The original Trust was created by Britney in 2004 in order to protect her children’s future. No telling in light of recent events, if the former Nickelodeon star will become more involved with Britney’s conservatorship in the future, eventually ousting her father, could be quite interesting.
Spears recently took to Instagram to tell her fans how she uses healing crystals for guidance and confidence during these stressful times stating “call me weird if you want but I really love crystals and rocks!!!” “During this pandemic, I’ve had more time to myself so I started a collection of crystals and I now have 33!”
Last week, Spears’ lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, filed court documents stating that the singer is “strongly opposed” to having her father remain her sole conservator. However, her father will remain conservator until at least February 2021 according to documents filed in the case obtained by Fox News. Stay tuned.
