The newest episode of “Paranormal Caught on Camera” was titled ‘Pennhurst Asylum and More’, and it did not disappoint! This show is out there, just like the ghosts, poltergeists, creatures, unidentified flying objects, and other various paranormal activities that are featured on the show.

“Pennhurst Asylum” is the first “Case D.” The abandoned institution, in Spring City, Pennsylvania, opened in 1908 and closed in 1987. It is now a ‘hot spot’ for ghost-hunters, given its extremely violent past. In this footage, a team of ghost-hunters, including Carlos Maestri, decided to investigate the dilapidated ruins, hoping to catch a glimpse of something supernatural, left behind from the Pennhurst’s horrific past.

To begin their investigation, the team used a voice box app, and the ghost-hunters got immediate results, as many voices are captured speaking through the app. Next, a shadow figure was seen walking at the end of a long hallway. Then, a loud thud was heard coming from another area, and the team rushed to investigate. In the gloom, they see the spool from an electrical wire spinning across the floor. The ghost-hunters entered the darkness, to prove that there was no one there who could be responsible. “Pennhurst Asylum” concluded with Carlos explaining that the Asylum “didn’t want us there from the beginning.” Truly terrified, Carlos and his team cut and run. Carlos said that he could feel that the energy was angry and that a return trip was nothing he was in a hurry for, citing, “Pennhurst is a different monster.”

“Case ID” #2 is called “Pesky Poltergeist.” In 2014, in Mountain House, MT, Tammy Gyarmathy, and her husband’s dream home became a nightmare almost immediately. “As soon as we moved in, things started happening in that house,” Tammy stated. Dresser drawers, even doors, were opening and closing on their own, and a knocking was constantly heard above their bed. This paranormal activity continued for 5 years. The couple finally installed security cameras in their dream home, hoping they could capture any paranormal activity; and also, started preparations to move. In 2019, the cameras recorded a hanging light in their kitchen that started swinging back and forth, then came to a complete stop.

In another area of the house, their grandfather clock’s face opened, slowly, making Tammy feel like an unseen entity was pulling it open deliberately. Sapphire Sandalo, a recurring expert on the show, said, “This family is definitely experiencing a poltergeist.” Such entities are the rarest instances of hauntings, and also very aggressive.

“Bright Lights, UFO City,” is “Case ID” #3, is footage a man named Eloy Jaime, captured one evening in September of 2019, while he longboarded through his town of Yuma, AZ. As he passed through a familiar area near a baseball field, he noticed the stadium lights were on. Above, several odd yellow lights hovered in the sky; Eloy immediately pulled out his phone to start filming. He also started posting his footage on live social media. Someone commented that the lights could be a military flare, but Eloy disagreed. As the yellow lights in the sky continued to move, one white light joined and circled the other lights. Eloy wondered aloud, “Am I about to die?” Not sure what he was witnessing, Eloy said about the encounter that, “I freaked out. I was like, ‘Aliens!’ I finally get to see them!” Eloy was half-scared, half-elated. The lights slowly disappeared, and Eloy didn’t see them again, yet claimed to be excited to have witnessed the lights. “There’s no way that we are the only living beings out there,” Eloy stated. Experts on the show agreed that this could be footage of real extraterrestrial phenomena.

“Case ID” #4 is titled, “The Boogeyman is real.” In Henderson, Tennesee, 2019, a woman named Destini and her children began experiencing nightmares, and Destini started to feel as though they weren’t alone. Anxious that something otherworldly was penetrating her home, she began to live in fear. The night before Destini captured her footage had been a grueling one. She heard music coming from her daughter’s bedroom closet, all night.

Finally, she summoned the courage to open the closet door. On the floor was a child’s battery-operated toy, with flashing lights and music. “If this thing goes off,” Destini told her toddler, “it’s going into the trash.” Just moments later, the toy went off again. “Trash!” she exclaimed, horrified. Still filming, Destini panned the closet with her camera, showing a child’s cluttered closet. Yet suddenly, there was a rustling in the back, and a hanger started swinging on its own; immediately after, something unseen moved the clothing aside, and the door swung shut of its own volition. Scared, she ushered her children out of the house. Experts who examined the footage agreed that this could be an entity trapped in the house. The family moved soon after experiencing this terrifying ordeal.

Featured next was “Case ID” #5, “Knock, Knock.” A young couple named James and Randi moved into a home in Des Moines, IA, in January 2020. James brought home a unique statue he found and gave it to Randi as a “funny housewarming gift.” Immediately, Randi got a strange feeling from it and threw it out. Soon after, strange occurrences began happening.

First, a bag of Christmas lights, stored in a garbage bag, start flickering. They were not plugged in. Randi immediately called James home, and the “bizarre” feeling she got reminded her of the statue she’d tossed. Perhaps there was a connection? “It just gave off bad vibes from the very beginning,” Randi stated. The couple began experiencing restlessness, nightmares, waking up to find scratches on them, and feeling drained.

Finally, Randi left to stay with her mother. There, she video chatted with James. While talking, their conversation was interrupted by the basement door of their home rattling and shaking violently, as though someone was trying to break in. James worked up his courage to open the door, but when he did, no one was there. Then, a frantic knocking started behind a small cubby in the wall. The couple was convinced that the statue they had thrown out allowed an evil entity to enter their home. They hired a paranormal investigator named Aman to help them. After purifying the house with energized water, as instructed by Aman, they found two separate things written in their home, one saying, “Help Aman” and another saying, “Help me.” Having had enough, James and Randi moved away as quickly as possible.

The final “Case ID” is called “Green Glow Down Under.” In December 2018, in Kalgoorlie, Australia, Leigh Stevens was about to settle in for the night when a violent thunderstorm started raging through his neighborhood. He headed outside to capture the storm on his phone. Focusing on the most active part of the sky where the lightning was, suddenly a loud screeching sound filled the air and a bizarre green glow shot up from the ground and filled the sky in an odd, almost holographic shape. “What is that?” Leigh wondered aloud.

The strangest part claimed Leigh, was that the green entity/glow could only be seen through the phone; not with the naked eye. “This looks like a blanket; it looks like a projected grid,” says Susan Slaughter, paranormal investigator. Whatever this green glow was, all the experts from the show questioned if this was extraterrestrial in nature; or perhaps supernatural. Meteorologists and scientists, who had seen the footage, didn’t know, either. Whatever the green glow in the sky may have been, no one knows what it was. “It would be nice to get an answer!” Leigh exclaimed.

“Paranormal: Caught on Camera” airs Sunday nights on the Travel Channel. Anyone who happens to witness something paranormal “should keep their eyes open wide and not let fear overwhelm them, but know when its time to go!” the narrator stated. If you have caught something strange or paranormal on camera, you can send your footage via email to submitparanormal@gmail.com. Your footage could very well be shown on TV!

Remember, there are many questions out there that we still haven’t found answers to. These are just a few clips of what occurs on a daily basis in every part of the world. Happy Ghost-hunting!
