In October, “The Haunting of Bly Manor” celebrates its worldwide horror premiere on Netflix. A first atmospheric trailer has now been published. Are you ready for another haunted house?

Netflix has now revealed the start date of “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” the follow-up series to “The Haunting of Hill House.” On Friday, October 9th, the creators will try to teach the viewers how to shudder again. The teaser trailer suggests that ghosts are causing fear and fright again, and let’s not forget the creepy dolls. The version of “O Willow Waly” sung by a child also increases the horror atmosphere of the teaser for the new series, which comes from the same makers as “The Haunting of Hill House”.

While Shirley Jackson’s horror novel of the same name from 1959 was adapted for the first season, “The Haunting of Bly Manor” is now based on the Henry James novella “The Turn of the Screw” from 1898. At the center of the action is a country villa in which two orphans are raised by a young governess.

The cast includes Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti, and Henry Thomas, already known from “Hill House”, in completely new roles. This time the directors are Yolanda Ramke and Ben Howling (“Cargo”), Ciaran Foy (“Sinister 2”), Liam Gavi (“A Dark Song”), and Axelle Carolyn (“Tales of Halloween”).
