Lacey Chabert teams up with Dustin Milligan to treat us to a new Christmas rom-com that is sure to excite fans. Literally.
The loveable favorite Ted from “Schitt’s Creek” is giving us a twist on the classic “Frosty the Snowman,” and Frosty has never been so handsome. This good-looking but oddly familiar stranger–who also strangely resembles a local ice sculpture, has come to another woman’s rescue. In “Schitt’s Creek” he helped rescue Alexis, and now he’s back on our TV screens to help out another. Chabert plays a grieving widow who definitely deserves some magic in her life. It’s been two years since she lost her husband, and somehow she will bring a snowman to life. This sweet and naive “man” will help her laugh and love again during the holidays. She needs a new perspective on life, and let’s hope Frosty doesn’t melt before she does.
Milligan says about Frosty, the whole world is brand-new to him. It’s refreshing — especially around Christmastime — to experience the magic and the wonder of that season through Jack. He is seeing things for the very first time and experiencing them with a very trustworthy guide.
According to Chabert, Jack’s innocence and newness to the world really opens up Kathy’s heart again, to seeing the world with a little bit more of a childlike perspective.
The cast includes Lacey Chabert, Dustin Milligan, Craig Robinson, Joe Lo Truglio, Katy Mixon, and Lauren Holly. Catch “Hot Frosty” now streaming on Netflix.
