Hello, fellow “Schitt’s Creek” fans. It’s been a while since we said goodbye to our beloved Roses, and I don’t know about you, but I am still not over it. I miss the quirky characters, the hilarious one-liners, and the heartwarming moments that made the CBC series one of the best TV shows of all time. For those who haven’t seen the show (which, if that’s the case, what are you waiting for?!), “Schitt’s Creek” follows the wealthy Rose family as they lose everything and are forced to move to a small town they once purchased as a joke. From there, they learn to adapt to their new surroundings and form unlikely friendships with the townspeople.

But it’s not just the premise that made “Schitt’s Creek” so special. It was the writing, the acting, and the attention to detail that made it a masterpiece. It was an adventure started by father and son (Eugene and Dan Levy) that turned into a passionate work of art. No, I’m not exaggerating. Whether it was David’s sarcastic quips, Moira’s ridiculous wigs, or Johnny’s earnest attempts to make a new life for his family, every character was fully fleshed out and endearing in their own way. And let’s not forget about the romance! The David and Patrick romance might quite possibly be the most beautiful of all time. Then there was the slow-burning love story to Alexis’ surprising chemistry with Ted. “Schitt’s Creek” had some of the most heartwarming and authentic romances on TV. Even Moira and Johnny’s long-standing marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment.

I want to re-watch the picnic proposal. I want to re-watch the olive branch dance. I want to experience Stevie’s triumphant Cabaret performance again and give thanks for Moira’s beautiful trust in her. I want to re-watch Alexis grow into the most amazing young woman, and watch Johnny find out what was truly important in life. And I, of course, want to watch a mother and son try to fold in cheese!

Favorite Character Poll

According to a Facebook poll that I recently posted, here are the characters in order of favorites:

  1. Stevie
  2. Alexis
  3. Moira
  4. David
  5. Johnny
  6. Patrick
  7. Cuppy the Kitten (LOL)

So yes, I miss “Schitt’s Creek.” I miss the laughter, the tears, and the moments that made my heart swell. But at the same time, I’m grateful for the time we had with the Roses and the lessons they taught us. Like the importance of family, the value of hard work, and the fact that sometimes the people you least expect can surprise you in the best way possible. In the end, this show will always hold a special place in my heart. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll get a reunion special or a spinoff. Until then, we’ll just have to keep rewatching the old episodes and reliving the magic.

By the way, I will never look at a crow the same way again!
