Schwarzenegger fans have a new comedy series to look forward to, and the trailer is brief, but looks pretty hilarious. The show is about a CIA Operative who is on the verge of retirement when he discovers a family secret. Forced to go back into the field for one last job, the series tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor. Netflix is set to release its latest action-comedy series, FUBAR, on May 25th, 2023, and fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival. Nick Santora, known for his work on shows like “Scorpion” and “Prison Break,” serves as the showrunner and executive producer for FUBAR. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the legendary actor and former governor of California, stars in the lead role, and also serves as an executive producer.
This fresh new show is also backed by an impressive lineup of executive producers, including Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Holly Dale, and Bill Bost. Skydance’s David Ellison and Dana Goldberg are also onboard as executive producers, adding even more firepower to the already stellar cast and crew. The series promises to deliver a unique take on the spy genre, with a focus on family dynamics and relationships.
According to Schwarzenegger in a Men’s Health interview, Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like “True Lies.” Well, here it is. FUBAR will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You get a whole season. It’s been a joy to work with Nick [Santora], Skydance, and Netflix to give my fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for.
What appears to set FUBAR apart from other spy shows is its focus on family relationships. The show promises to explore the complex dynamics between a father and daughter who have been estranged for years and the challenges they face when they are forced to work together on a dangerous mission. With Schwarzenegger in charge, I have no doubt that this series will be entertaining.
