De Niro fans rejoice!
Netflix just announced the new limited series called “Zero Day” which stars the legendary actor Robert De Niro in his first TV series. This timely conspiracy thriller asks the question on everyone’s mind — how do we find truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly being torn apart by forces outside our control? And in an era rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining? This six-episode project is created by Executive Producers Eric Newman Electric (The Watcher, Narcos, Narcos: Mexico) and Noah Oppenheim (Jackie, The Thing About Pam, The Maze Runner), and it is Directed and Executive Produced by Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Mad Men and Love & Death).
Eric Newman states that he is a lifelong fan of Robert De Niro. To have him as a producing partner and star in this show is beyond my wildest dreams. And Lesli Linka Glatter has directed so many of my favorite episodes of television; she was our clear first choice to direct this show. I am grateful to Netflix for their continued faith and support and thrilled to be in business with the amazing creative team of Noah, Lesli, and Jonathan on this timely (and terrifying) series.
The announcement of the series has generated a lot of buzz among fans of Robert De Niro, as well as those who enjoy a good conspiracy thriller. It has already been hailed as one of the most anticipated shows of the year, and fans are eagerly waiting for its release.
‘Zero Day’ is just one of many exciting new releases that Netflix has planned for the coming months. The streaming giant has been investing heavily in original content in recent years, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
