Due to an increase in COVID-19 in Texas, Austin has made the decision to cancel the Austin City Limits festival for 2020.  The festival generally brings in music fans from all over the country to Zilker Park each year for over 125 performances on 8 stages. Headliners for previous years illustrate a range of musical genres and include names such as Metallica, Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Kanye West, and Garth Brooks.  This is the second time this year the Austin has had to make the decision to cancel a multi-million-dollar revenue festival due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.  Back in March, SXSW was canceled, although some panels were changed to virtual viewing.

New dates for 2021 are set for the weekends of October 1st and October 8th.  For those that purchased tickets for the 2020 festival, ACL states that they can be refunded or transferred to the 2021 year.  Be sure to visit www.austincitylimits.com for more information.
