It has been exactly one year since the last StarFest, but the wait is over as we will celebrate our love of all things nerdy and geeky at a brand-new event. GalactiCon! Denver-area fandom will feel right at home at the Denver Marriott Tech Center. This unforgettable experience will be filled with celebrity guests from our favorite shows and movies, a dealers room full of the stuff we love, panels, comics artists and authors, literary discussions, kids activities, Cosplay, Fantasy, “Star Trek,” “Star Wars,” video gaming, board gaming, and much more! An event by fans, for fans, this convention will help to fill that StarFest-sized hole that many people have in their hearts.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! GalactiCon will create the ideal opportunity to either spend time with the whole family or enjoy a fun escape that holiday weekend. As an added bonus, this convention aligns with the holiday season, allowing us to make the most of our time by combining our convention experience with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday shopping. It is the ideal venue to check off unique items from that holiday shopping list. Also, having the event a the Marriott Denver DTC is the premiere space outside of downtown. It is nicely laid out and attendees won’t have to deal with downtown parking. In fact, they can take advantage of half-price parking and nicely discounted room rates.
The event is the brainchild of one of the original organizers of Denver Comic Con who felt an absence that people have been feeling and he decided to put in the work to fill it. Michael Newman has been attending or running conventions since 1985 and has put together a dream team of experts for this convention. This perfectly-sized event will offer a well-rounded experience that gives fans the right amount of choices and the right amount of activities to have an amazing time.
