Sticks is at it again, this time with a new endeavor…a podcast with cocktails!

Sgt. Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin of the Tulsa PD has launched a podcast in connection with “Law&Crime” productions. Larkin will host the podcast and listeners will get to hear heartfelt and harrowing tales from officers in the line of duty. “Coptales” is appropriately named, though it is easy listening even for non-law enforcement people. The podcast launched on April 29, 2021, and has received mass social media reception.

Larkin rose to fame on the television show “Live PD” in recent years as a co-host for the popular police show. Though the show has since been canceled, there are whispers of possible renewal in the near future. Viewers first got to watch the heartthrob Sgt. on patrol, watching him police his city before joining the co-host table alongside Tom Morris Jr. and Dan Abrams. Larkin is still working within the group as Abrams owns the company, “Law&Crime”.

As well as being a television personality that has also co-hosted “America’s Top Dog”, and who has made appearances in many forms of media, he is a still full-time Sergeant with many years of experience under his belt. With 24 years at Tulsa PD, Larkin has a lot to offer to his listeners. His large social media following has also given Larkin a platform to help others and promote topics near and dear to his heart.

The podcast, “Coptales” is a conversation between Larkin, his co-host ICU Nurse Howard Doss, and their guest. The first episode included Officer Quincy Smith as he told a terrifying but inspiring tale about his job. Smith takes the guys through the day he was injured in the line of duty and what came out of it. Smith shares the details of his near-fatal shooting while keeping his spirits up in this lively podcast. Larkin and Doss do a great job of leading the conversation while letting Smith have the floor to easily share these difficult details.

Though the show has already gone to a dark subject matter in the first episode, and will probably keep that theme because they are discussing real-life dangerous situations, it is also light-hearted as it has a boozy, and fun element to it. The show is sponsored by Whiskey Raiders and at the start of the podcast, Larkin mentioned that they will have a different alcohol present for each episode depending on the story. Listeners can hear Larkin coin the phrase, “Coptales and Cocktails”, though the actual name of the show is a shortened version of that.

The intensely enjoyable podcast seems to have a bright future ahead based on the reactions in the media and even in its comments section. The podcast is available in video form on Youtube, and in audio form on Apple Podcasts. Fans of the show can stay up to date with Larkin on his Instagram and Twitter.
