Welcome back to the fun Comic Con fans. After the pandemic spoiled last year’s fun, attendees returned to Colorado Springs Comic Con with energy and enthusiasm. This was the first big event of the year for Colorado fans took place Aug. 27-29, 2021 at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. It had been two years since most of these friends had seen each other and there were hugs all around. The vendor tables were hopping with shoppers ready and willing to drop some cash on those must-have nerdy items. The celebrities and artists met their fans with smiles, autographs, and photos. Comic artists like Bob Hall and Ian Chase Nichols, and actors from “My Hero Academia,” “The Mandalorian,” and “Mayans M.C.”
The Cosplay
Cosplayers proudly displayed their craftsmanship and creativity as they were finally able to display all of their very hard work. Mandalorians showed off their Beskar armor, Jokers and Harley Quinns bounced with excitement, plus Groot, Spiderman, and stunning anime and gaming costumes. Check out our Saturday Slideshow.
The Location
It was by far the best venue for this event. Well done Altered Reality Entertainment. The layout was nicely organized with helpful signage and nice use of space. The 2021 attendance proved the need for such a large area. The layout had 2 main areas. One actually had a nice little chilly bonus of being a full-time ice rink for the guests covered in layers of costuming.
