“Supernatural” was alive and well this weekend Apr. 17-19, 2020 with the fan-run virtual convention Salute to Supernatural Couch Con. What started as a small Facebook group wanting to share a weekend together turned out to be a successful online event that grew to over 2,400 members. The word got out to some “super” celebrities that live-streamed Q&A sessions such as Osric Chau (Kevin Tran), Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer), Carrie Genzel (‘Just My Imagination’), and Hayden Lee (Singer-Songwriter).

Mark Pellegrino dove back into his 80s hard rock days.

Attendees to the event expressed their gratitude to the organizers for putting the show together. Many joked that it was the only convention ticket they’ll ever be able to afford (Couch Con was free), and this online party put smiles on faces around the world. Thanks to plenty of generosity, over $3,000 was raised for the charity Random Acts.

Couch Con featured raffles, auctions, fun “Supernatural” convention footage, and a virtual vendor room with some creative finds available for purchase. There were photo albums to which attendees posted their amazing photo ops from various conventions over the years. Some talented graphic artists even made badges for the fans.

Through the dedication of Anje Kainrath, April Vian, Denise Carducci, and Chrystal Payne Gallegos the event was just what the Supernatural Family needed during this pandemic quarantine. Thanks to all that made this weekend special. Family don’t end in quarantine.
